Terms and Conditions We ship orders via DHL or US Postal Service ground service depending upon which method is the most economical for the customer. At the customer’s request and expense we can ship next-day, second-day, priority, or express mail as well. In certain situations we can also arrange to ship via common carrier. International orders will only be shipped via Global Priority Mail with insurance, again, at the customer's expense. Orders are generally shipped within forty-eight hours. Extraneous circumstances may sometimes require additional time. Handling Fees There are no minimum orders, but there is a $3.00 handling fee for orders less than $25.00. A $1.50 handling fee applies to all other orders. Discounts Orchid Tree Exotics offers a volume discount for larger purchases. These discounts apply to the price of the products before freight or shipping charges. Discounts do not apply to shipping charges. They apply to one invoice at a time and are not accumulative. Discounts are listed below; Orders of $100.00 to $150.00 receive a 5% discount. Orders of $151.00 to $250.00 receive a 10% discount. Orders of $251.00 to $500.00 receive a 15% discount. Orders over $500.00 receive a 20% discount. Some items such as leg bands are net pricing only and do not receive discounts. Discounts do not apply to sale items, specials, or package deals. Retailers with a vendor’s license who are actively engaged in resale receive a 25% discount on orders of $200.00 or more. (We require a copy of the vendor’s license.) Licensed wildlife rehabilitators and zoological institutions receive a 20% discount on all orders regardless of size. (We require a copy of the rehab license.) Returns A 15% re-stocking fee is charged for all returns (other than on items that we shipped in error by Orchid Tree Exotics.) Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer. Damaged items and lost shipments Orchid Tree Exotics goes to great lengths to package orders in such a way as to avoid damage, however there are times when items get broken while enroute to you. If the package was shipped via DHL, you must file a claim with them. If the package is to be sent via the postal service you should consider paying the extra fee for insurance so a claim can be filed with the post office in the event of lost or damaged shipments. Orchid Tree Exotics will not replace lost or damaged postal shipments that have not been insured. Without insurance the postal service will not cover damaged items. Orchid Tree Exotics cannot be responsible for items once the package is in the hands of the carrier. |
