Shipping information. We
usually ship orders via DHL. We have found that for most areas of
the Country they are faster and less expensive than other carriers.
In some cases, like shipping to Puerto Rico, some orders to Canada,
and small light weight orders we use the US Postal Service. We
use whatever means possible to get the product to you as
economically as possible. Please be aware that orders that are sent
through the US Postal Service will
not be replaced if lost or damaged if they have not
been insured by the customer. We strongly advise that customers pay
the nominal additional charge to insure all postal orders.
For larger orders we can even use common carriers to ship pallet
quantities. This isn't as strange an option as it might appear. We
have a number of customers who belong to a local bird club. A bird
club, or any group of bird breeders can combine their orders to
place one large order that can be shipped on a pallet. All we need
is one credit card to pay for the entire order and a shipping
address that can accept full pallet shipments. Surprisingly enough
there is usually one club member who owns a business that take
pallet load deliveries. Some groups have made arrangements with a
local feed store or other business that will accept the shipment
for the group. The advantage to this sort of arrangement is that
common carrier shipments are much more economical than other means
of shipping. Get creative and get together with your friends, we'll
work with you to cut the shipping costs.
